Antonio received a degree in Electronics Engineering in 1988, with a thesis in industrial robotics.
He has an extensive experience in analysis, development, start-up and management of complex software systems, in sectors such as industrial automation, process control, entertainment and healthcare.
Since June 2012 he is CIO at ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo, where he had the personal responsibility for the setting-up, moving and starting-up the IT infrastructures of the New Hospital of Bergamo. Its scope of activities covers all the information technology and telecommunications management in the company.
He is the reference figure for the Top Management respect to the digital transformation path. In charge for planning and budgeting, for strategic ICT development plans and technological innovation, he must guarantee the operational continuity of services and the monitoring of IT security.
In the past he has been project manager of many software projects in the clinical area, in particular for implementation of the Electronic Patient Record, as well as the ideation and design of the computerized drug prescription system. Antonio has been member of HL7 Italy with direct contribution for the official Italian localization for ‘patient administration’ of HL7 standard.
