Information system manager for both applications and general organization
Italian Customs Agency representative in several committee and working groups within European Union, the World Customs Organization and the UN/ECE
Technical counselling in the drafting of national and EU provisions in IT matters
Lead the process of modernization of the Italian Customs IT System by developing the AIDA system which by re-engineering processes allowed for the digitalization of customs operations and for the on-line networking of all national customs offices.
Responsible for several innovation projects (Customs single Window, “Il Trovatore”) that, following a strategy for the integration of processing belonging to the different public administrations involved in customs clearance, aim at facilitating international trade, while ensuring high security standards.
Published several articles on customs information systems management.
Speaker in several national and international meetings and conventions (ex: Heads of European region customs conference, The Global Congress on combating counterfeiting, International transport and logistics, COMALEP joint meeting of Customs administrations directors of Latina America, Spain, Portugal , United States, France and Italy, etc.)
