Michael Müller-Wünsch (aka MüWü, born 1961 in Berlin) has been Member of the Management Board for Technology (CIO) at OTTO, the well-known German online retailer and platform enterprise, since August 2015. Michael’s first major undertaking was to launch the transformation process of the internal IT Department towards becoming a large-scale, agile tech organization.

Amongst Michael’s various academic awards and acknowledgements for his business contributions and work, a definite highlight in 2017 was his nomination as German Innovation CIO of the Year. He is a frequent speaker and contributor on innovation-related topics within the digital transformation.

In March of 2016, Alpna joined Philips as the Global Chief Information Officer. Alpna oversees Philips’ IT strategic direction and execution, focusing on Business Transformation. S he is an instrumental player in the company’s continuing ‘’Digitalization’ journey.

Fernando Lucero, Global CIO, Iberdrola

Fernando Lucero is Global CIO for Iberdrola, the world leader in Wind Power, one of the top electricity utilities and Spain’s number one energy group. IBERDROLA has undergone a wide-ranging transformation over the last ten years which has enabled it to advance through the ranks to become the number one Spanish energy group, one of the Spanish main companies on the Ibex 35 by market capitalisation, the world leader in wind energy, and one of the world’s top power companies.

Fernando Lucero earned a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Madrid’s Polytechnical University, holds an Executive Master Degree in Business Administration from IE Business School and Global Leadership Program from IMD Business School.

His professional career in Information Technology started in 1990 as IT project manager, at CERN – European Organization for Nuclear Research based on Geneva (Switzerland) and later in 1992 in the European Space Agency – ESA based on Darmstadt (Germany). In 1993 he joined Mapfre Asistencia, an travel insurance multinational company, operating in Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa, as IT Director. Later in 1997, he took the role as Director of Information Systems for the subsidiary company of Lafarge in Spain, a world leader in building materials. In 2007 he joined Isolux Corsan, global benchmark in the areas of concessions, energy, construction and industrial services in 38 countries, as CIO.  From 2013 he is member of the Advisory Board of CIONET Spain and within he is leading the Innovation Group.

Fernando has significant experience in dealing business transformation and change management programs, an extensive background in modernization projects, leading technology processes focusing on the improvement of productivity, outsourcing and off-shoring IT strategies, IT alignment with business units and functional teams, multi-cultural and large global organizations, where technology can lever for the continuous efficiency improvement of business processes through innovation.

Born in Spain, he is married with three daughters. He likes travelling, running (he got the Six Star prize after run the 6 Abbot Marathon majors), windsurfing and skiing.

Arkadiusz Olchawa, IT Director, Nowa Itaka

For the last 14 years professionally associated with the Travel Agency ITAKA, which is currently the biggest tour operator in Poland and the winner of special tourism industry awards. His duties as an IT Director consist of building and implementing of IT strategy and online business development. He supervises the implementation of key IT systems in such areas as ERP, CRM, CallCenter and BI. He is also responsible for implementing and developing of e-commerce applications which are used by Itaka’s clients. He considers building a team of highly qualified, business-oriented IT specialists to be his greatest achievement. He is passionate about modern technologies and how they can affect everyday life and company functioning. Open to changes, in which he recognizes, above all, some new possibilities.

Wojciech Poludniewski, Group Director Digital Business, Hempel

Starting from 2015, Group Director of the newly established Digital Business department at Hempel. Responsible for setting and implementing the Digital Business strategy in the Hempel Group. In 2016, he organized and recruited the Digital Business department in the Hempel Group, which implements projects related to digital transformation. Previously, for years Wojciech was in charge of IT Operations, starting from the position of IT Manager for CEE to ultimately manage the global structure as Global IT Operations Director. In 2015, he successfully completed the reorganization of IT Operations in the Group. Part of the project was the creation of a corporate IT competence centers (SSC IT) in Gdansk and Shekou (China). Previously, he managed software development department and implemented ERP systems in Europe and Asia.
He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry in various enterprises. Member of the Board of Scandinavian Polish Chamber of Commerce, Danish section.

He is an MBA graduate from CBS and University of Gdansk and post-graduate from INSEAD. Certified Erickson College Coach.

An avid fan of driving and fast cars.

Aart van der Vlist, CIO, UWV

Aart van der Vlist is CTO, trendwatcher, IT-boardmember and CIO. He joined UWV late 2013 as CIO. UWV is the Dutch Social Security agency (~20.000 fte), IT is key in UWVs operation. IT is approx. 400 million Euro’s of UWVs Operational budget of 1,7 Billion Euros. Aart is a highly motivated and result oriented CIO, experienced in driving change. Both strategic view and pragmatic delivery approach. Likes to work in complex environments with Multi-disciplinairy teams. Focus on added value. Believes in building high performance teams. Doesn’t hesitate to breakthrough where needed.

From 2005-2013 Aart worked as manager IT and CIO for a ING Insurance. He has a background as programmer (‘C’, mid 80s), EDP Auditor (KPN, early 90s) and IT management consultant (KPMG, partner in 1999). Aart studied IT in early 80s, did a Master in EDP Auditing (1991), another master in Management Consulting (1996) and recently finished Nyenrode’s Advanced Boardroom programme (Commissarissencyclus).

For over 15 years Aart was co-author of the trendwatcher book “Trends in IT”. He also acts as passionated speaker on many seminars, he inspires his own teams within UWV and as external speaker with humor, new approaches and combines theories with many best practices from own experience.

Bjorn Van Reet, CIO, Kinepolis

Bjorn Van Reet is Kinepolis Group’s Chief Information Officer since October 2016. Recently Bjorn is also awarded as ‘CIO of the Year’ by Data News. He started his career in one of the leading ICT consulting  companies in Belgium, called Cronos. After starting his own business unit, helping SME clients with their strategic ICT challenges, he continued his professional career at Adecco, the global leader in the HR industry. Bjorn started in Belgium but very fast became responsible for the full ict production environment in Benelux. After successful projects in the production area he became the CIO for the Adecco group in Belgium and later Northern Europe where he had an active role in the global ict transformation projects of the Adecco group.

Bjorn loves to inspire people and was board member for a mentoring association ‘Young leader, Inspiring Mentor’. Giving young talents opportunities to conquer the world is what drives him every day with a lot of enthusiasm and a big smile
